Carousel Antiques and Upholstery - https://sites.google.com/site/carouselantiquesupholstery/ This is the site for Paul and Ellen who own Carousel Antiques and Upholstery. They are artist in their own right. Paul is a master ceramic tile maker. Ellen is a quilter who also paints. Together they have designed their own chair. They make furniture from the ground up. From the frame to the stuffing to the fabric covering. They also restore antique and less than antique furniture giving it new life. You can visit them in person at their store located at 132 W. She has great taste and carries an eclectic variety of gifts, clothing and jewelry. She even has a baby boutique for the little ones. She is located just across from the Pines in downtown Mercer. The Downtown Art Place is located in the historic downtown area just down from the Historic Ironwood Theatre. The gallery has unique artwork from area artists, hosts art shows and also has numerous classes year round. I have worked with these artist and they know how to inspire you to create your own artwork or just to visit and appreciate the beauty in all of creation.
Winklers - https://boulderjct.org/listing/winklers-northern-exposure-greenhouse/ This is a fun business in Boulder Junction, WI. They also have a greenhouse which is open during the growing season. Steve and Theresa Winkler make wreaths, birch bark creations and have a whole building full of gifts, home decor, antiques, jewelry and anything you can imagine to make your home special. They also have supplies for those of you who make your own dried flower arrangements or other decorations. In season they have Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, swags, kissing balls and of course pointsettias. They are located at on Hwy M, Boulder Junction right when you get into town next to the Guides Inn. It used to be the Hayloft and now the building is once again housing beautiful works for all.
Dancing Raven ArtWorks - Facebook page - DancingRavenArtWorks This super business is owned by my friend, Amanda Szot. She is the best bead work person I have ever met. She has beads and is also an artist who's creative spirit runs through wood, metal, glass and other organic objects. She has been known to yield a sledge hammer to break up iron to be melted and to sit and make a tiarra out of seed beeds for a wedding. You will not be disappointed when you go to her shop and see her great art, jewelry and the vast array of beads and findings. She teaches classes also. Dancing Raven ArtWorks is currently in flux where she will be landing. She has art work in different locations around the UP and northern Wisconsin. She is available for custom work.
